The main gear boxes are fabricated from heavy steel plate, not cast iron.
The transmission gears are cast from durable steel rather than iron.
The entire machine is fabricated from plate steel
The main screw is made up of hardened and ground steel segments.
The screw cage is a large cast steel split case design.
Screw segments can be removed without disturbing the gearbox

Each Goyum machine we supply undergoes a careful preparation and assembly before shipment. Most of the work we complete is purely cosmetic. Each machine receives the following work:

The machine is primed and painted with a high quality industrial epoxy paint.
The main screw cages are completely removed and dismantled for installation of the appropriate shims.
The main gearbox cover is fitted with a chrome filler / breather assembly
Cooker drive installed and aligned
Cooker is installed on top of the screw press.
Appropriate guards are manufactured and fitted
Safety and warning decals are applied
Grease cups are removed and a central greasing point is fitted near the operators station.
All remaining mechanical components are fitted and checked   
Machine is thoroughly checked for  proper clearances.
